With GDPR, transparency is key factor in data sharing. I am looking for opinions on the topic. Any research that shows how let’s say functionality X raises the transparency with Y%?
To properly measure process and system transparency in its multi-dimensionality, we researcher as a data controller should adopt a transparency by design approach. We should embody transparency measures into the design of the data processing operations, instead of appending them as an afterthought.
The GDPR aims to minimize risks by focusing on effective "ex ante" protection embedded early on in the design of the process, as opposed to exclusively devise "ex post" remedies so that data processing operations and protections should become the “outcome of a design”, oriented to fulfill the principles laid down in fairness, and transparency.
GDPR's seven principles are: lawfulness, fairness and transparency; purpose limitation; data minimisation; accuracy; storage limitation; integrity and confidentiality (security); and accountability. In reality, only one of these principles – accountability – is new to data protection rules.
What are the most important elements of the GDPR?
Rights of Individuals.
Right to be Informed.
Data Protection Officer (DPO)
Obligations on data processors.
Data Protection Impact Assessment and data breach response.
The value exchange – the consumer trust payback.
What are the 3 main goals of the GDPR?
We see the intention behind the new aspects to the GDPR as being easily grouped into three major concepts – transparency, compliance and punishment.
Which three principles would affect any data breach?
A personal data breach can be broadly defined as a security incident that has affected the confidentiality, integrity or availability of personal data.
