How to measure pH in anaerobic digester?

I'm planning on doing research by using anaerobic digester with liquid substrate and want to see its pH changes periodically. Any suggestion on measuring the pH with maintaining its anaerobic condition? Thanks.

There are two ways to measure pH in the anaerobic digester:

1. Measure carbonate/bicarbonate, and use the graph of carbonate-pH to determine the corresponding pH. You can see this graph in many articles.
