Means which solvent and surfactants, I required to prepare TiO2 seed solution from commercial anatase powder..?? I dissolved this powder in conc. H2SO4, it dissolved but after spin coating on substrate and drying it again becomes powder. I have also attached substrate picture. Need your suggestions. thnx
well that sounds very good! Try to ellaborate with the concentration of the H2SO4 solution and the spinning speed of your coater. Satrt with your original H2SO4 concentration and dilute stepwhise. Surfactants - you might not ned any actually. I would also try to balance ph by adding NaOH to the H2SO4 (before spincoating, i.e. not only diluting (as I mentined above) but also play with the pH, in this way you might even "create some sort of surfactant" by doing this procedure) - but be very careful with handling, and use dilute solutions. After spin coating and drying you'll need to heat to a high temperature (900 C?) to produce a film. All you are doing is evaporating the solvent and precipitating the powder. Alternatively try a sol-gel technique for producing TiO2 films - there are commercial material available based on titanium isopropoxide/ethyl acetate and similar precursors.
