My experimental plan so far:
To make 1gm of Sodium Cobalt Oxide
Precursors: (0.719g) Sodium Acetate, (2.184gm) Cobalt Acetate - stir for 3hrs at 80°C
Later add chelating agent: Citric Acid (1.64gm)
Stir for 6hrs at 80°C
Obtained gel precursor - dry it at 120°C for 24hrs
After this calcinating my sample at 750°C for 28hrs
Will check XRD later!!
Just tell me how can I confirm that my sample is in P2-phase?
There are many papers in which the patterns of P2 type phase are reported. You should be aware of the different polymorphs that have many structural similarities. Otherwise if you have a database you can compare your experimental pattern with the bars of the different polymorphs

In this paper, it is stated that (citation): "The syntheses of the P2-type NaxCoO2 and Na2/3-xCaxCoO2 were carried out via a conventional solidestate reaction. A stoichiometric amount of Na2CO2, Co3O4, CaCO3 and 5 wt.% of additional Na2CO3 were mixed in mortar and pestle and pressed into a pellet. The obtained pellet was calcined at 850 °C in air for 12 h. In order to avoid the absorption of water molecules in the atmosphere, the calcined pellet was taken out from the furnace above 400 °C and immediately transferred into an argon-filled glove box."
I assume that "Na2CO2" is a typing error, and it should be Na2CO3.
