How to make abrasion free SSRE Ag/AgCl wire electrode?

I faced quick abrasion of the coating on Ag metallic wire as solid state reference electrode Ag/AgCl while immerging under any coarse layer for the detection of underneath ions. I will be grateful if you suggest any literature to reduce abrasion of the electrode material coated on wire or make abrasion free or effective formation of SSRE. Thanks
