Following factors can be considered:

Collaborators' skills should complete each other rather than duplicate them. @Han Ping Fung's second point is an essential one.

There are 3 critical things for the success of such a collaboration-first the team has knowledge to do the research, secondly, they have the resources to do it and finally, they can overcome intra conflict to reach their goals.

I think the collaborators should be complementary to each other, every one should have its unique contribution for generating highly advanced work. One essential point, you should select who can strictly aware by his role and should be updated, flexible and respectful to deadlines. Selecting collaborators from different areas to produce one piece of text is highly recommended to combine all benefits, skills and experience in highly impactful research.
