How to label glycosides so that these compounds can be observed over the vesical trafficking proces in plant cells?

I wonder whether there is a way to label the glycosidically bound metabolites with dye molecules (sun as flourescent dye) which should not affect labelled metabolite biological activities in vivo, so that they vesical transportation can be viewed under a microscope.
