May I know how to knowing the ripeness of biochar because I done with producing biochar using pyrolisis process burning (3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 hours burning treatments) but I don't know exactly methods to knowing ripeness of biochar after my biochar done from burning?
My feedstock is rubber wood.

What do you mean by ripeness? If you mean like final conversion then what is the end use of the biochar? Based on that the question may be answered.

However, going by the residence time you provided, the biochar properties would definitely be different as it will become more recalcitrant and contains lesser non-carbon elements (such as nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen). Also, you may need to provide the temperature at which you are carrying out the pyrolysis
Your terminology usage is slightly imprecise, but you are probably meaning anoxic pyrolysis ("pyrolysis"), rather than combustion in oxygen containing atmosphere ("burning")? Useful methods to compare sample(s) and rawmaterial are total mass change, ash content, proximate (thermogravimetric) analysis, elemental analysis of CHO and S and N depending on your sample, and FTIR spectrum within it's limitations.
