Hi, I am a third year midwifery student in the UK. I have selected my papers for my literature review but I am struggling to justify my use of international papers rather than UK studies/papers (there wasn't any on my subject, but they are from the USA, Turkey and Switzerland all written in English). So how would i justify the use of these papers?

There are pros and cons, but I would trust PubMed or Scopus. Each place has some standards, though not perfect, to assess the reliability of the data. To increase reliability, I would do systematic review or meta-analysis, so I know the reasonable statistics there.

You don't need to justify where papers are written as long as they are from reputable journals
