We're curently working with the HT29-MTX-E12 cell line clone. We chose this clone for its mucus production. However, this generally desirable feature can be difficult, e.g. for immunocytochemical staining. I'm sure I read in a paper that a group detached the mucus (enzymatically?) before proceeding with their staining protocol, but I cannot find it anymore.

Would anybody here have an idea or a suggestion?

Thanks a lot in advance.
