How to isolate DNA from plasma samples ?

As i am trying to isolate DNA from plasma samples, there are problems faced regarding concentration and gel images. For the concentration of 120.9 ng on nanodrop with ratios of 260/280 as 1.46 and 260/230 as 1.87 there is no gel image obtained. what could be the reason and how to overcome it ?
