I've found no common standard used to explain the surface morphology of thin films of polymers . Is there a good book or review that could help me to interepret the Scanning Electron microscope imaging of polymer thin films and their surface morphology? Especially those of biopolymers .

With SEM you can perform a typical power spectrum, but it will heavily be biased by the SEM parameters (accel. voltage, contrast, etc.). But if you do them all using the same condition it will give you some information. A better way in my opinion is to use AFM and perform surface analysis on AFM data. You can use freeware Gwyddion software for that.
