We tried to install the XRF software on an extra laptop but we found some strange software errors. When we want to connect the instrument to the laptop and push the green light, an error message appears. The error message said that No valid response was received from the instrument. The software was installed from the original CD of the instrument.
I would appreciate it if anyone can help me to solve the problem.
You could try to contact the creators of the S1PXRF software. This sounds like it may be a compatibility issue. Check if the software is running on the same operating system version as on your first computer (i.e. it may not be compatible with the second computer). And finally, as a last resort, you could google "How do I fix object variable not set Error 91?" for some ideas that might help.
Sounds for me as if this is a problem of the computers operating system. When installing the software, try right click, start in compatibility mode, and try an older windows version. Some older software may not properly work using windows 10, so try compatibility to win XP or win 7. Good luck, Dirk
