In this case, I have only nonlinear parameters such as stress and strain in the elastic part. So, I want to input these parameters into the model in Abaqus. How to do it?
For steel materials, if you have only yield stress and yield strain, you can just model the elastic part of the material, but if you have nonlinear parameters such as ultimate stress and ultimate strain, you can insert them in the field that I addressed below:
You can fill in the data form here, for example, if you had yield stress=240, yield strain=0.02, ultimate stress=450, ultimate strain=0.2 you would fill in the data form as below:
Yield Stress | Plastic Strain
240 0
450 0.18
And for the elastic part, you should put Elastic Modulus and Poisson's Ratio
in the form addressed below:
Materials->Mechanical->Elasticity->Elastic
This data inputting gives you a bilinear stress-strain curve which is used when you don't have the real experimental curve of the material.
I think elastic stress-strain curve should be linear (a straight line), and you can obtain Young's modulus (E) from it, then enter E to the elastic property table in ABAQUS.
