Dear scientists, I have a question to ask you, it is known that Mn4+ is beneficial to the soil, but part of Mn4+ in the soil is easy to be converted to MN2 +, is there any way to inhibit its ion conversion? If there is relevant literature to share, I will be very grateful!
To avoid formation (Mn2) to (Mn4), the medium should not be acidic but not quite acidic then reduction of Mn (vll) to Mn (IV). I suggest you should also have access to Meller,s Treatise on inorganic chemistry. He wrote multi volumes descriptive chemistry of elements.
@ Meiyang, it may be prevented by co-doping with CaAL12O19. Moreover, if you can increase the soil pH Mn2+ may not be in soil solution.
By controlling or raising soil pH but unfortunately all the methods produce a temprory effect
