I use mix-bed ion exchange resins for desalination and regenerate the resins using ammonium bicarbonate (AB). AB in regeneration is required to be with high concentrations to allow high regeneration effects of the depleted resins. How I would be able to increase the AB solubility without decomposing the AB compound into ammonia and carbon dioxide gases that are ineffective to regenerate the resins.
