Bacterial cultures are prepared in bulk quantities for reducing the COD level of various industrial effluents in tap water mixed with 0.1 % of peptone, Nutrient broth for nutrient purpose and yellowish appearance. 0.3% of starch is added to gain the viscosity. Inoculation is about 0.001% of bacteria. Cultures are supplied in 50 liters of closed can containers.
But the issue is that, the shelf life is not more than 2 months.
