How to increase the chance of a research to be accepted in peer-reviewed journal?

I submitted my research in a peer-reviewed-journal for publication. It has been denied by the reviewer without any notes prior to the rejection. Just want to ask suggestions on how to increase the chance of acceptability of your research.
