I want to calculate average values within a specific volume in ANSYS Fluent. I’ve already completed the simulation and have the results, but I’m unable to import complex volumes into CFD-Post; I can only transfer surfaces using STL files. In Fluent, I can create simple volumes like cubic ones to get values, but I can’t handle more complex volumes. How can I achieve this in Fluent or CFD post?
Two ways possible :Use of Iso-volumes/Cell Zones in Fluent or write user define function(UDF) for Custom Volume Calculation

Thank you for your answer. Your suggestion is fine, but for the complex volumes, I am not sure about it.
For my problem, I created a point cloud between the corners of my volume and then used it to obtain results in the volume (I created a CSV file with Python). Now it works, but it is not sufficient for future problems... I need to import a CAD file and calculate average values in that volume.
If your UDF exactly defines the coordinates of your CAD file, surely it can calculate average values in the volume. Or try to create a section while modeling the stage and define a section name for each... This feature also helps in calculating your required values in the CFD post stage.
