I am trying to figure out how to implement transfer matrix method to calculate how much of solar power gets absorbed in each layer. I am readying "Modeling photocurrent action spectra of photovoltaic devices based on organic thin films" by L. A. A. Pettersson, L. S. Roman, O. Inganas.

According to the equation I attached, I can calculate the internal electric field propagating in the positive x direction in layer j. I can calculate the term in front of E0+, but I am not sure what to plug in for E0+. What would be the electric field intensity of sunlight using AM1.5G?

The reflection coefficient and transmission coefficient are specific to a certain wavelength, then how does that apply to sunlight? Do I need the irradiance of sunlight at specific wavelength? How do I calculate that?
