In order to perform distortion correction of MR images (e.g. using topup) I would like to acquire EPI images with opposing phase encoding directions (e.g. A->P and P->A) on a Bruker MRI scanner running on Paravision 360. Is this possible and where can the corresponding settings be found? So far I have been browsing the settings and the manual to no avail.

Hi, there is a way to do it manually which is a bit cumbersome. I detail it here below. Hopefully this will be enabled in a more seamless way in future ParaVision versions. Alternatively, you can ask around for an in-house sequence that has this feature, or implement it yourself.
The steps to set up the Reverse Phase Encoding are as follows:
1. In Geometry tab, set “Phase_offset” an opposite value with respect to the linear phase encoding.
2. In Instruction tab, choose “MR scan only”.
3. In Single Parameter tab, search “ACQ_scaling_phase” and set “scaling for phase” to -1.
4. In Instruction tab, check “Prototype mode”
Warning: the resulting image is flipped. You need to flip it back before feeding it to topup for example.

As suggested by Thomas Basse-Lüsebrink, I got in touch with Bruker and they were so kind to provide me with a prototype method file for reverse phase EPI for PV360 V3.3.
I'd also be really interested in reverse phase encoding for DtiEpi (and of course would appreciate these methods being implemented in future PV releases/updates). Also, thank you Ileana O Jelescu and Soustelle Lucas for sharing your expertise and ways to implement reverse phase encoding.
