This is actually a test given to me by my professor.
There are 3 different mice strains (DBA/1J, DBA/2J & C57BL/67) genomic DNA sample tubes got unlabeled. I need to identify it using things available in my lab quick. PCR, DNA Sequencing and Gel-Electrophoresis. All these mice got edited by CRISPR/Cas9 system at specific gene. The PCR primers sequence was also unknown (additional test given to me by my professor).
I am sorry, I am totally stupid in genetics laboratory work. If someone have a good articles or website for me to read I will gladly read and solve it myself. Im just lost and don't know where to read first.

These mice are supplied by Jackson labs ( actually I only checked the first 2 strains) and genotyping data is supplied on all of their mice online so the first attempts should be either:
1 Phone or email tech support at Jackson and ask them
or
2 Go online to the Jackson labs web site and follow the instructions below
go to google and search the mouse name and get its Jackson catalogue number

~ Hi, thank you all for all your suggestions!!! It really give me a basic idea how to solve this test. My professor just drop a hint yesterday that the PCR primer for all three mice strain are the same.
I am planning to PCR the sample and sequence the DNA and follow all of your suggestion above.
