How to hydrolyse PEG?

I need simple method of aqueous PEG hydrolysis.

Polyethylene glycol ( PEG ) is the basis of a number of laxatives ( e.g. , macrogol -containing products such as Movicol and PEG 3350, Softlax, MiraLax or Glycolax). the PEG chains and the crosslinkable moieties, which are prone to aqueous hydrolysis and are characterized as biodegradable systems. Favorable characteristics of PEG and PEO are either high hydrophobicity, bio-inertness, and outstanding bio-compatibility, which make them suitable biomaterials.
