There are several articles dealing with this technique usually for collagen or some antigen injection. But I think TNFa injection alone do not induce arthritis in mice. At least, in rats it does nothing. You will probably need a priming treatment in the joint in order to observe a response to TNF. The priming could be a real inflammatory stimulus like carrageenan.
