Lithium tetraborate (Li2B4O7) is a piezoelectric material. It can be synthesized from boric acid by adding lithium hydroxide monohydrate into 80-100 deg. of pure water then boric acidfollowed by stirring continuing until the solution is clear followed by 1%-3% by weight of lithium borate seed crystals at 80 deg. to get desired product.
