I have low cycle fatigue data from that I have developed stress-strain hysteresis loop. Furthermore, I have set of stress and strain values of different points on the material for each cycle i.e. for e.g a set of 300 values of stress and a set of 300 values of strain.
I want to basically get a single value elastic as well as plastic strain and then I want to calculate the plastic strain rate. Can anybody help me with this?

As a final comment if you make a number of simplifying assumptions (i.e. only interested in macroscopic stress and strain, ignoring the effects of internal stresses in the specimen and microstructure, such as intergranular and intragranular stresses) then is it clear that when the applied stress is zero then the elastic engineering strain must also be zero. Therefore at zero applied stress any strain must be inelastic (which could include plastic, time independent and creep, time dependent strains). Please be careful of anelastic strains!
