Dear Colleagues,
While simulating the rolling operation in Ansys, rolls are not biting the work-piece even though friction between the surface of the rolls and work-piece is applied (Coefficient of friction as 0.4) and only 5% reduction is applied which is well below the max reduction allowed as per theory.
Can anyone suggest for the possible reasons of non-biting apart from what i have mentioned above, with respect to the software's analysis setting etc.?

perhaps you should try to simulate the contact with bonding the rollers and workpiece. If it not converging in this case, then you have a mistake in your setup.

Maybe you could try to :
- refine your mesh on contact surfaces
- use smaller time increment
can you upload the video how you modeled the rolling operations, I modeled it but there are lot of errors.I also tried watching you tube videos but there is only video and that too with only one roller.
