I want to print half of a viral capsid in a 3D printer and I usually export the molecules in PyMol (.stl files) and it works. However, with this capsid in PyMol it shuts down without giving any message or similar. I tried to export it in ChimeraX but the result is a .stl file with 3 GB! This means that it wouldn't be open by my 3D printer program (Ultimaker Cure 5.0.0).

I think that if I can manage to reduce info inside the file it could work. I don't know how to reduce graphic quality in ChimeraX, but I tried to reduce graphical parameters and it remains the same.

Another solution could be to export a stl file in PyMol with less quality. I tried the Maximum performance parameter but the resolution is too poor.
