For coupled radiative and conductive heat transfer in a multilayered semi-transparent panes, reflection and interaction among all layers become very complex with an increasing number of panes. How to formulate net radiative flux at each interface by ray tracing method or any other method?
Is your problem 1D? If your incoming radiation enters the medium perpendicular to the interface, and there are no edge effects, then an (approximate) analytical solution might be possible.
In most other cases the problem quickly becomes rather complex and numerical methods (e.g. ray tracing, Monte Carlo simulations) will be unavoidable.
