For formulation of any drug, there are some protocols. For marketing of any drug, every such drug have to pass some toxicity study and trials. For this, there are some international protocols.

Many drugs are prepared and found effective in laboratories, but only a few can pass these tests and protocols.

It is not easy to arrange all these tests and trials at individual level.

You may patent your discovery at first.

Then may approach to the drug/ medicine manufacturers for its commercialisation. In such cases, you will get 7-8% of MRP of such marketed products as a patent holder.

In many cases, the manufactures themselves contact with the patent holder for this purpose.
