I would like to fixate some nanoparticles in a glass cuvette and excite them with UV (355nm and 266nm) laser light, studying their luminescent properties.
I tried gelantine, but this is luminescing on its own.
Any suggestions for a substitute?
Dear Markus Johann Schmidt , You can easily do this in porous membranes of porous alumina, having previously cleaned its pores from the external contaminated layer, which also luminesces, by dipping in a 5% solution of sulfuric acid. Next, you will dip the membranes into the solution with your nanoparticles, due to the droplet effect, they collect this solution and dry it.

If I understand correctly, I can afterwards observe the dryed particles on the alumina surface?
Unfortunately, I intend to have a clear fixed sample to treat the fixated particles with a laser light sheet. Any ideas on this?

If only the membrane is not suitable for you, you can form porous alumina on the glass. As i am doing now. It's not hard.
