Hello,

I am trying to run a much larger Abaqus FEA general full mechanical analysis of a structure, but for trouble shooting purposes I have reduced it significantly and am still running into problems.

I am getting the warning "the displacement for contact is too big" and error message which states "Time increment required is less than the minimum specified"

I have already reduced the minimum time increment significantly and that has not worked. I have tried both penalty and rough contact properties and neither of them seem to resolve my issue.

My geometry is quite odd and so meshing has been difficult. I have refined the mesh countless times now and I don't know how I can improve the mesh more than I already have.

How can I fix this error???
