Hi all,
Currently, I'm trying to simulate geometrically non-linear static deformation of hemispherical solid body under contact boundary condition with a rigid analytical surface (hemispherical surface).
The simulation is implemented in ABAQUS where the surface (node) to surface interaction is defined.
However I cannot get a converged solution. The common errors and warning are as bellows. It's strange when the body is free to deformed as in problems of cantilevered beam, bending shell the contact solution can be obtain straightforward.
Maybe because ABAQUS is not good in contact simulation where the solid body is subjected to a strong compression. I think maybe there is better software for this problem.
