Boron toxicity can be addressed by dispersing surface soil salts high in high soils. High boron can also be found in water resources so test the water condition. Boron toxicity is often associated with saline condition in dry environments. The soil condition can be addressed by lowering soil pH with sulfur dispersing salt layers and then leaching excess salt and boron by excess irrigation. Boron deficiency is much more common than toxicity. Soil and water resources should be checked for their boron content. The soil level of 1 to 2 is fine for normal crop production the level of over 3 would be excessive and anything over 5 would probably need soil amelioration. Deficiency of crops can be identified by plant tissue analysis if the soil less is less than 1 ppm you could likely develop issues. The cruciferous plants are good indicators of boron deficiency displaying a necrosis of the stem center call hollow heart.

Can you give more details of the soil? what is the texture, how large the area is? concentration of boron etc.?

Results of some research indicate that addition of certain plant nutrients such as N may reduce the harmful effect of high B levels.

Boron toxicity can come for wells with high boron. You may want to have the water source checked. Sometimes in arid areas boron salts accumulate on the surface in salt crusts. In that situation the crust could be scraped and the under layer deep plowed to disperse the solid salts and the boron salts are quite soluble so the excess irrigation would solubilize and drain the boron salts.

Analyze both the water and soil to identify exactly where the salts of boron are coming.
