Does anybody know how can I find the stiffness using the experimental data? We did not use any strain gauge and extensometer. However, I have the data of force, extension, and tensile strain in excel file?
Hi Torkan Shafighfard, assuming the deformation is uniform at samll strain, you may try to plot stress (F/S) vs strain curves, and then get the slope of the linear part as the stiffness. Reagrds,
Thank you. However, the problem is how can I exactly know the linear part. I should find the slope until failure point since my samples are brittle composites?
Another problem is that my force start from any number such as 100 N instead of zero due to the initial force to grip the sample. Is the maximum load given by this experimental test correct since it starts from a number except zero?
