How to fill the deficit of leadership and vision in education?
Education is the base for an equitable society. Adequate education equips people with the knowledge, skills, values, and right kind of thinking.
It is required to raise enlightened individuals and responsible citizens. A high-quality education has augmented benefits for citizens and societies.
This has been demonstrated, time and again, by countries across the world.
But where we go from here depends in large part on our ability to provide ample opportunities for all with equity and equality.
What should be the path for a global education for all?
The prevailing view of leadership is that it is concentrated or focused. In organizations, this makes it an input to business processes and performance—dependent on the attributes, behaviors, experience, knowledge, skills, and potential of the few individuals chosen to impact these. The theory (and practice) of distributed leadership thinks it best considered as an outcome. Leadership is defined by what one does, not who one is. Leadership at all levels matters and must be drawn from, not just be added to, individuals and groups in organizations. There is no deficit of leadership and vision in leaderful organizations that embody and project shared purpose.

I agree that education can equip people with knowledge and skills that enhance their lives in many ways, and enable them to help others by sharing what they learn. I do not believe that educators should be in the business of teaching "values" and "the right way of thinking". Give them the tools, show them how they work, then encourage them to build whatever they want. Teachers that believe they have the right, even the obligation, to preach values and social ideology threaten individualism, freedom of thought and mental creativity.

Preeti Oza , is it that there is a lack of leadership and vision related to education? What about the price tag and name recognition of 'prestigious' institutions and helping those with credentials make connections and to find opportunities. How can we equalize a widely accepted reference to finding a road to success: "...it's not what you know, its who you know..."?

We talk of equality and equity in education for individuals with low vision .
Most of the protocols ate there on the papers but not implemented in practice !!
Deficit approaches are critiqued for conceptualizing the target individual or group primarily (or even solely) in terms of their perceived deficiencies, dysfunctions, problems, needs, and limitations.
