I prepared Gold thiin film and able to get atomic resolution of Grain boundaries. Now, I am trying to specify Grain boundary using the nomenclature used in the Book Chapter Grain Boundaries: Description, Structure and Thermodynamics Linked below. I found two grains of the boundaries are orientated along [111] (Not exactly) and FFT analysis shows two grains are rotated around 13 degrees. Now, how can I find grain boundary planes and rotation axis and angle? Is there any book or article explaining this in a simpler way?
