I want to extract DNA from mice bronchoalveolar lavage fluid for quantification of bacterial load in the lavage fluid. I will use quantitative digital PCR for analyzing bacterial load. I have tried Qiagen blood and tissue kit protocol for bacterial DNA extraction it is not giving good results. Can anyone suggest to me any good protocol for extracting bacterial DNA from bronchoalveolar lavage fluid? I have also extracted DNA from lung and feces samples which is working really fine.
