Hello all,

According to my research protocol I could filter the liquid fermentation of a clinical isolate of Aspergillus fumigatus which was grown in SPG broth for 14 days in automatic rotation (180 RPM at room temp). I used a vaccum bomb with a filtration system (filter of 0.2 um) and finally got 280mL free of conidias or hyphas.

And now, I am teasing to evaluate its antimicrobial activity and for that (according to previous reference) I need to EXTRACT the secondary metabolites with ETHYL ACETATE.

I would try with a decantation funnel making 4-5 washes with ethyl acetate (1mL per wash). In my settings I dont have access to MS-GC or any other sophisticated methodologies.

Could anyone help me out with a PROTOCOL OF EXTRACTION please?
