How to extract data automatically from Abaqus history output request such as SIF of XFEM stationary crack in 3D, from Abaqus to excel or notepad or Matlab with data segregation.? I mean K1 K2 K3 etc of each element up to in which crack length is defined in the model with all specified contours should be segregated and send to excel or notepad or Matlab for plotting. Are there any codes available for that?

Abaqus to MATLAB has only field output variable only from abaqus can be imported (In my knowledge). History output variable options is not there. Kindly advice me reg this
Mathusuthanan Mari You can use the Abaqus2Matlab software ( www.abaqus2matlab.com ) using the record key 1995 to extract all Stress intensity factors, including KI, KII, KIII, crack propagation direction and J-integral, estimated for 1st, 2nd, etc contours. Before this you have to add some options to the Abaqus input file prior to running the analysis in Abaqus (*FILE FORMAT, ASCII and *CONTOUR INTEGRAL, CONTOURS=n, OUTPUT=FILE , where n is the desired number of contours, so that the results file (*.fil) is generated and contains the desired output. In case that you decide to use Abaqus2Matlab software, please be aware that high assistance is provided by the Abaqus2Matlab work team.
