I am trying to analyze the electrochemical properties of a new synthesized composite from CNTs by using cyclic voltammetry. I've tried to cast the material on a stainless steel plate using a gun spray. However, I couldn't achieve a desired even coating layer. This could be because of either the composite didn't dispersed evenly during sample preparation or the composite was too hydrophobic to bind to the surface. Therefore, I am thinking adding a binder (Nafion is a conductible binder that I have in my lab) in my sample matrix before using the gun spray to cast my material on the plate. Has anyone done something similar, and have developed a good recipe for the matrix with good binding and dispersive properties on stainless steep surfaces ? If so, please let me know!
Thank you so much!
