How to evaluate the quality if extracted cfDNA?

I would like to know how I can evaluate the quality of extracted cfDNA and see whether I have genomic DNA contamination or not.

We typically use the Agilent BioAnalyzer and / or TapeStation to observe the profile of the cell free DNA. You should see a major peak around 170 bases. In some samples you will see one or two lumps after the major peak. Anything above about 1000bp is considered gDNA contamination. If you have enough material available, you can run a gel.
