Trying to answer your question by taking logical skill to mean more like reasoning skill, putting before them questions relating to their  everyday life which would involve their decision making after considering reasoning based on various disciplines would be a good idea.

I used to work in discrete maths education. My experience was that students found logic harder than data structures and algorithms. There is a whole host of educational resources available of varying quality. Two I would recommend are:

The language level of deaf students are not adequate.

So I am concentrating more on non verbal reasoning and activities with minimum verbal instructions.

Currently we BC are working on different worksheets and also some puzzles.How can I measure the effectiveness of this padegogy.

Teach children  "the so called necessary adult knowlegde"  is a challenge. 

I remember me a professor, he was convinced that children should  addressed to their own childerence world during the teaching course.Children wish is to play he said,  they don't like to be forced to be taught. The teachers challenge is looking for computer exercises, to catch and maintain the children attention by playing a game and simultaneously teach the knowledge to be learned.

Logical skills 

When I think about logical skills and to improve them, I wondering with the intricacy question what is logic ? 

The logic source is not found in computer science but by analytic philosofy.  I realise that phylosophy as a whole is not an easy accessible science. Luckily there there is an open door through which the logic fundamentals become visible. The logic basics are described  as scientific axioms by Lugwig Wittgenstein in the Tractatus logico-phylosoficus. (there appears to be an undisputable  relation between the Database theory and the Logic axioms) 

To be short , I try to catch the attention for the relation between Phylosophy and Computer science. I 'm convinced that to "evalaute the effectiveness of a programme" can't be done without deploying the source of logic. 

Stating this is not enough, but I think it is an ideal starting point.
