How to estimate the channel with irregular pilot distribution?

Hi,

I search Rayleigh channel estimation in OFDM systems with" irregular" pilot distribution using LS estimator.

How can i also interpolate my channel transfer function in this case?

Hello,

(almost) all the interpolation methods can be used in irregular pilot distribution. The unique condition for an accurate estimation is that the distance between pilots is lower than the coherence time and bandwidth, in order to fit Shannon theorem. So, you can use, linear, polynomial, spline, Wiener interpolators, among others.
