I am working on removal of heavy metals from the wastewater using nanocomposite membranes. Although the heavy metal removal is above 90% but adsorption capacity is low. Can someone please guide me?
I have used the maximum adsorbent dose for the experiments like concentration, time, pH.

Sintering is a simple processing method that has been extensively applied and can observably improve the adsorption capacity of silicate minerals [1]. Sintering minerals at high temperatures can remove the combined water, hydration water, and the water participated in skeleton construction, thus reducing the adsorption resistance of water film to pollutants and increasing its adsorption performance [2].

Please kindly pay attention that pH, the size of particles , contact time and also activated the ligands and some other factors such as stirrng ..... can increase the potential of removing heavy metals.

My % removal is high suppose if solution of heavy metal initial conc. is 80 ppm and then at equilibrium= 2 ppm after the adsorption. This implies that adsorption has occurred but adsorption capacity is low. Is % removal and adsorption capacity inversely proportional?
Mohamed Khedawy Yes! i have optimized all these parameters. only the problem is my % removal is high on optimized conditions but adsorption capacity is low.
To study of heavy metal composition and type of ion (cation (or) anion) in minerialized (or) water solution, effect of pH, effect of temperature, influence of ions on adsorbent, compare for size of metal ion and pore size of nanocomposite adsorbent.
