I am trying to analyse the size of spheroids and I am wondering which program is the most effective? I have found a protocol for spheroid sizer which is based on Matlab. But is there any way to analyze it also with the help of Image J or other programs?

Dear Zita, It sometimes depends on the technique used for imaging of spheroids. For example if Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) or STM was applied, you have to use their specefic image processing softwares to analyze their substantial 3D images (even if they looks 2D). In the case of SEM and TEM images, if scale bar is embedded within the images by the operator, you can employ imageJ. You can find its instruction on youtube.
