I have some polymer blend in acidic aqueous solution. I cast them into a petri dish to dry it out to make polymer film. Honestly, it takes a long time to dry in a normal atmosphere, I wanna dry them into the furnace but hydrogen is the matter, it damages furnace's metal. Is there any protection method for that problem? Such as what happened if I put some other material besides them to absorb hydrogen before reach out the metal surface..
you could dry it in Vacuum oven with out going to high temperature .
this specially desined with connenncti to vacuum pump and ventalation.

Hi Deniz, when you say hydrogen is the problem, do you mean HCl?
Evaporated HCl will be a problem for most closed desiccation systems.
I would recommend heating the sample inside a chemical fume hood.
would never heat a normal desiccator under vacuum for safety reason. In furnace at high temperature polymers may decompose. I would suggest a stepwise approach.
First dry over e.g. CaO in desiccator under vacuum. If this is not sufficient for drying it should remove volatile acidic compounds. If necessary you may dry further in an oven or vacuum oven. The latter would enable to run at lower temperatures,
