By dry freezing techniques. For SEM imaging you need to coat the dry freezing gel by a conductive coating,i.e., carbin thin film or gold thin filmby sputter coating technique. On the contrary for the TEM imaging you need to thin the dry freezing gel by an ion mill to make the sample thin enough for the elctron transmission.
