If you have access to stuttering system...you can sputter silver to very small thickness and you will get partial reflection nd partial transmission...thickness will control proportion
Most common coating technique for metal or metal oxides is Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and especially by DC sputtering. Its very easy to deposit half by covering the remaining half with any sheet or SiC sheet at high temperature depostion.
If you are interested in UV reflectance then I would recommend aluminium as a coating material. Unlike other common mirror coatings, aluminium does not have significant absorption even down to 200nm. To get a 50% reflectance is a matter of controlling the thickness of the film. Normally, the aluminium would then have a protective layer applied as otherwise it will oxidise/tarnish over time.
