How to first prepare 50-50 KOH-NaOH salt mixture as both are highly hygroscopic? Is hermetic sealing a good option? How hermetic sealing can be done for preparing a mixture? Also because of high corrosive nature, any special DSC-TG analysis required or special DSC crucible needed?
I suggest to perform a DSC-TGA hypenated in an alumina cups, with lids. If small cups are available, better. Also a high flow of inert atmposhere is recommended, let say 100 cc/min. Both parameters ensures a small moisture adsorption and diluiton of any corrosive gases. I guess the real problem is the adduct, after any heating at TGA you will have hygroscopic oxides, upon the mixture you are using. Good luck!

@ Ibrahim - You can heat the sample upto 100 - 110 °C at which the water vapor will be removed from the sample. Don't open the lid - Be it closed and by cooling let it come down to your desired starting temperature (say RT or 50 °C). Start the experiment from here.
